I’m so glad you’re here! Here are just a few things about me:

I have a Bachelor of Science in Fitness Management from Mississippi State University, am certified through the American Council on Exercise as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, and have over 20 years experience in the field of wellness.

Now,  I’ll give you some insight on what makes me ME.

I believe my greatest strength is the ability to connect with people on a deep personal level. I haven’t always been this way, though.  As a child and young adult I was shy and awkward.  I was terrified of people, afraid of rejection.  It was only after going through a lot of crap – like divorce(s), eating body/image disorder (happy to say I’ve recovered!), and losing everything – more than once – that I came to a place where I felt whole and willing to become vulnerable.

I think people are the best part of life, and gratitude is the cornerstone on which my happiness is built.  I am the mother of two teenage boys, I like naps and I don’t like TV.  My biggest weakness is lack of organization (working on that!). I am philosophically very open-minded.  I like to encourage people to do the “scary thing” and I try to do the same! (“scary thing” being something you’ve always wanted to do but have let fear get in the way).

I got into fitness at the age of 21  – before that I was the kid that got picked last for sports and dodge-ball was my nemesis.  I love weightlifting and did my first stage competition (bikini) in August!  Click here for pics.
