Do you work in an office where someone’s always bringing in donuts (and you can’t stop eating them) ? Do you have a partner who is NOT on board with your diet plans and you seem to be unable to resist the food they eat or cook?
This might help:
When you are faced with a temptation, it creates discomfort and stress. When you give in to the temptation, it is in an effort to relieve that feeling.
Know, expect, and accept that you will experience this discomfort, and then – become willing to just SIT with that feeling for one minute, or five minutes, or whatever is just a bit longer than what you’d normally give it. Keep practicing this, and give yourself permission to give in once you’ve beat your last time.
After awhile, you will be able to sit with that feeling a little longer, then a little longer, then you will notice that it’s not near as hard to resist those donuts.
